TMJ MOVEMENT EFFECT ON ANT. CANAL WALL

5 Second Motion Video Otoscopy (MVO) Sample

This 5 second motion video otomacroscopy ( MVOM) sample illustrates the effect of jaw opening and closing on the right anterior ear canal canal wall of an 84 year old female patient. It has been virtually impossible to fit her 70 dB mixed, essentially sensorineural loss of hearing with an acoustic coupling which was A) comfortable and B) would not result in feedback during her mouth-wide-open condition.
